She holds a degree in art.Maternal grandmother is Mrs. Ellis E. Jordy of Gulfport and the late Mr. Jordy of New Orleans, La. Paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. William E. Fillingim Sr. of Long Beach.The prospective groom graduated from Harrison Central High School, Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College and received a degree in Industrial Engineering upon graduation from Mississippi State University in 1974. He is presently employed by United States Steel in, Baytown, Tex.Maternal grandparents are Mrs. Mary BrelandDaughdrill and the late J.O. Daughdrill of Lum-berton. Paternal grandparents are the late Mrs. Ruby Busby Cornell of Gulfport and J.E. Pitts ofHouston, Tex.The wedding will be solemnized at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18 under the Friendship Oak at the Universityof Southern Mississippi, Gulf Park College Campus in Long Beach. _
