The groom is well known in North Bennington and th:s vicinity:“At 6 o’clock last evening. Miss Grace Arline Merriam, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. Merriam, and Clayton Sidney Colvin, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony, in the Congregational churah, by the Itev. Dr.J. P. Coyle.“The church waa well filled by the many friends of the contracting parties, and the floral decorations weie beautiful and appropriate. Evergreens, cut flowers and potted plants formed a beautiful background for the impressivescene. i“Promptly on the hour the bridal party entered, preceeded by the four ushers, Leonard Blythe, William Draper, F. S. Cleghorn of Boston and Edward Erhardt of New York. The bride, who was iressed in a rich travelling costume of dark brown, trimmed with white lace, entered on the arm of her father. They were met at the altar by the groom ana best man, F. H. Smith of Albany, N. Y., and perfect stillness reigned while Dr. Coyle pronounced the words which made them man and wife.“Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party and invited guests drove to the home of the bride on Main street, where an elaborate menu was served by Caterer Lucas of Troy.“Mr. and Mrs. Colvin left on the C o’clock train for an extended tour in the west. On their return they will reside in Greenfield.“The bride is a well known and pon*i lar society of this town.
