rHURSDAY, MAY 3. 1945Bentonville Bulletins(Mrs. Josephine Petersen) (Correspondent)Powell-We at overMr. and Mrs. Arthur Powell, north of town, announce the marriage of their daughter, Mary Ann, to Raymond Westover, son of MY. and Mrs. Elvin Westover, near Straughn.The wedding was solemnized Sunday afternoon at three o’clock at the parsonage in Bentonville, with Rev. Lawrence Bixler reading the single ring ceremony. The only attendants were Miss Martha Powell, twin sister of the bride, and Eugene Powell, brother of the bride. The bride was attired in a mist green suit with brown and gold accessories and wore a corsage of red and white roses.Miss Martha Powell was also dressed in a green suit with hrown accessories and wore a corsage of red and white roses. After a short wedding trip the couple will reside on a farm southwest of Bentonville.4-H CLUBThe Bentonville 4-H club met Wednesday, April 25. The election of officers was held Monday, Apr. 16. They are as follows: President,B. Beth Jones; vice-president, Olive Rhea MeElfresh; secretary, Marilyn Rea; treasurer, Maxine Thompson; news reporter, Wilma Walters.There were 16 members present. Mr. Rippey, county agent, and Miss Foster, home demonstration agent, were also present. The pledge to the American flag was led by Charlene Hickey. The pledge to the 4-H flag was led by Olive Rhea MeElfresh. Songs were led by Wilma Walters and Mr. Rippey, accompanied at the piano by Doris White.PersonalsMrs. Verl Clouse is spending several days with relatives in Hope.Jo1
