Brown*' was the scene of a most happy event on Tuesday, May 2nd at 3.30 p. m., the auspicious occasion being thb marriage of their daughter Bertha Louise to Dr. Joseph H, Myers, formerly of this city. The beautiful strains of the wedding march were skillfully rendered by Miss Alice Brown as the bridal party entered the spacious parlors and took their places id a bower of floral beauty. The solemn words of the marriage oovenant including the ring ceremony, were impressively uttered by the father ot the bride. The bonny bnde was becomingly attired in cream colored satain with delicate white tracery cut en train and carried a large bouquet of roses. Lovely rosebuds held in position a handsomely embroidered silk veil—the handiwork of the bride’s grandmother 65 years ago for a similar occasion. The groom in conventional attire was at his best.A bountiful collation was daintily served. The gifts were gems of beauty and utility. Amid a shower of rice and good wishes the newly wedded couple left on the 7 p. m. train for their future home in Leslie, Michigan.
