Mr. and Mr*. Terry PerrySt. Mary’s Catholic Church of Mallard was the scene of the marriage of Kay Therese Gre-then and Terry Ranee Perry of Havelock on April 29, 1974 at seven o’clock in the evening. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Grethen and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Perry of Havelock.The Rev. Bernard Montag was celebrant of the nuptial Mass and officiated the double ring ceremony before the altar banked with baskets of whitegladioli, pink and blue starburstand pompon mums. Pat Grethen and Don Thompson, brother and cousin of the bride, respectfully were acolytes.Mrs. Shannon Henderson of Plover, classmate of the bride, provided organ music as the guests were being seated and-for the processional and recessional. David Lady of Havelock accompanied Tim Hors-man of Laiurens on the guitar as he sang “Beautiful,” during the offertory and “Color My WQrJid” during communion.“The bride was escorted by her father to the sanctuary. She wore an ivory nylon organza gown styled with Empire bodice embroidered with Brussel lace appliques on bishop sleeves, and full skirt with detachable chapel length train. She wore a beaded Camelot cap with fin-gertip veil v«Squet of red sweetheart roses, white starburst mums and white stephanotis with white ribbon streamers to which tiny red rosebuds and white stephanotis were tied.Mary Grethen of Leavenworth, Kan., served her sister as maid of honor and Gayle Perry of Ames, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid They wore pink and blue knit polyester gowns with ruffled bodice, and ruffled edge ruff oh the bishop sleeves. They wore matching garden hats trimmed with tulle and a large rose. They wore heart-shaped necklaces, gifts of the bride.Mike Krischel of Havelock, friend of the couple, served as best man. Groomsman was Allen DeVaul of Pocahontas, college roommate of the bridegroom. The men wore navy blue tuxedoes with velvet • lapels and light blue ruffled shirts. The bridegroom wore a red sweetheart rose boutonniere and the groomsmen andother men in the bridal party wore pink or blue starburst mums.Guests were seated by Tjer-an Jolliffe of Laurens, cousin of the bridegroom, and Pat Grethen, brother of the bride.For her daughter's wedding, the bride's rpother wore a pink textured polyester floor-length gown with dress-length chiffon panels falling from the shoulders. Tbe mother of the bridegroom chose a mint green floor-length gown with Empire bodice trimmed with self-colored beads and chiffon sleeves. Each wore a corsage of red sweetheart roses with white starburst mums and baby's breath. The grandmothers wore pink and blue starburst mum corsages.Diane Lampe of Ames, friendof the couple, presided at theguest book. Programs were given by nephews of the bride, Doug Dillon and Mark Wenzel of Minneapolis. Mrs. Ken Dillon and Mrs. John Wenzel, sistersof the bride, were her personalattendants and assisted in thepinning of corsages and boutonnieres.Special guests at the weddingwere the bridal couple's grandparents, Mrs. Mary C. Grethen of' Rolfe, Mrs. Hazel Perry Havelock, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Runnebcrg of Spirit Lake.A reception was held in St.Mary’s Hall following the ceremony with Mr. and Mrs. Loren Thompson of Rolfc, aunt anduncle of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. James Perry of Mallard, aunt and uncle of the bridegroom, as hosts and hostesses. Julie Thompson of Rolfe and Joan Grethen of Carroll, cousins of the bride, dipped punch. Mrs. Robert Jolliffe of Laurens, aunt of the bridegroom, and Mrs. James Grethen of Carroll, godmother and aunt of the bride, poured coffee. The three-tierd wedding cake, topped with white doves and decorated with pink roses and lily of the valley, was cut by Mrs.L. D. Rfunnebcrg of Laurens,aunt of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Leone Miller of Mallard, aunt of the bride. Waitresses were Barb Thompson and Annette Perry, cousins of the couple, and Denise Krischel, Carol Crotty, Lori Pirie and Joni Henderson, friends of the cou-Gifts were carried by Lisa^ujfethen and Suzanne Grethenof Carroll, cousins of the bride,and arranged by Judy Kruml ofOmaha and Mrs, Carl Hubbell*of Laurens, friends of die couple.Hie bride is a 1973 graduate* of Havelock-Plover High School and attended I.S.U., Ames.
