Debra Jean Bond married to Bruce Frank KopalaMiss Debra Jean Bond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur N. Bond of 34 Summer St., and Bruce Frank Kopala, son of Chester F. Kopala of Alba Ave.,. -Pittsfield, and the late Stacia Kopala, were married Saturday morning.The Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, performed the 11 o’clock ceremony.The bride’s father wore his dress uniform of the Alert Hose Co. to give her in marriage. John Sumaj served as organist.A reception was held in the Eagles Hall, Curran Highway, North Adams.The bride’s sister, Shelley, was her maid of honor, while bridesmaids were Mrs. Mary Lou Kopala of Williamstown, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Miss Susan Wojeick. Miss Wendy Anderson, Mrs. Donna Whitman, and Miss Susan Blazejewski. all of Adams and friends of the bride.Miss Stephanie Kopala of Williamstown, the bridegroom’s niece, was the flower girl.Chester Trzcinski Jr. of Adams, a friend of the bridegroom, was his best man, and ushers were two brothers of the bridegroom. Richard of Williamstown and Timothy of Pittsfield, Michael Robert. Edward Maynard, and Michael Kurpiel, all of Adams and friends of the bridegroom.Derek Hoellerich of Cheshire, the bride's cousin, was ring bearer.The bride’s empire gown of white organza was accented with Venice lace and had a high scalloped neckline, bishop sleeves with appliques, and a cathedral train. A wreath of Venice lace held her cathedral length veil of white silk illusion. She held a cascade of white miniature carnations and stephanotis trimmed with lilac baby's breath and ivy.The maid of honor wore an organdy gown with long, cuffed sleeves, white mandarin collar and a bodice of floral and striped violet organdy. The gathered skirt was banded at the waist and hem with white ribbon and herMrs. Bruce Kopalaviolet veil flowed from a violet lace Juliet cap trimmed with a tiny bow. She carried a bouquet of pastel shasta pompons and baby’s breath.The bridesmaids wore sister gowns and matching headpieces designed in rainbow colors of maize, aqua, hot lime, apricot and pink and carried matching bouquets.The flower girl wore a lilac gown in miniature style to that of the maid of honor and held a white basket filled with pastel shasta pompons and baby’s breath.A 1970 graduate of Adams Memorial High School, the bride graduated in 1971 at the McCann School of Cosmetology, North Adams, and is employed as a hairdresser at Jo and Barb’s Beauty Salon.A graduate in metal fabrication at McCann School, the bridegroom is a welder at Rochester Paper Co., Adams Division.Following a wedding trip to Bermuda, the couple will live at 38 Burt St.
