Anaconda SoldierIs Jap PrisonerANACONDA, April 30.—(Special) —Private Leonard R. J. Jackson of the U. S. Army coast artillery is reported a prisoner of the Japanese in the Philippine islands in a letter from the adjutant general of the War department to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Jackson of Anaconda. They formerly lived at 11 North Washington street, Butte., He was reported missing May 7, 1942.Jackson has many relatives in ^raconda and Butte. He was born in Great Falls. He was with the CCC in Alaska and enlisted in the U. S. Army in February, 1941 He went to the Philippines, March 15, 1941. The letter from the War department is the first word the father has heard in a year about his son.
