nupOntario Refuse Collectors Set to HelpONTARIO—It’s spring cleaning to load up with bricks, stones, dirtAll over the city of Ontario. To help out, the city’s refuse department is providing special, free pickups at residential s/tops. Just atelephone call will bring out a truck to cart away that old refrigerator, couch or barrel of junk you’ve been looking at for so long.Joe Sallee, city sanitation supervisor, said “we are ready to pick up most items, but we don’t wantand building materials.“The purpose of the cleanup time, which runs through April 9, is to clean up Ontario. Our department will be able to provide reasonable assistance to all residents,”he said.Trash can be picked up i with the regular pickup, or residents can call the sanitation office for special service.
