Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dean JamesBarlow-James Vows Exchanged InCeremony At First Baptist ChurchMiss Sandra Kay Barlow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Barlow, 622 Young St., became the bride of Jerry Dean James, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Pogue, Granby, in a ceremony, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Forst Baptist Church.The Rev. J. Merle Bandy .officiated at the ceremony at 7:30 p.m. The altar was decorated with twin, seven-branch candelabra holding tall white tapers and a basket of pink and white gladioli.' Airs. Main GL 1-4128satin. Long fitted sleeves tapered to points at the wrists. The bodice featured a Medina neckline and was secured in back by tiny covered buttons. The bellshaped skirt was secured to the waist awith a cummerbund that featured a long flat bow and streamers, ending in a chapel train. The bridal bouquet of pink roses was carried atop a white Bible. The bridal veil of silk illusion fell from a crown of seed pearls. Her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls.Miss. Margaret Platt, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor and Miss Bobbie Wilson was bridesmaid. They wore identical attire. Their gowns were styled similar to the bride’s but were in shades of pink. They carried colonial bouquets of white feathered carnations and their headdresses were pink bows with short pink veils.Howard Sherwood, Anderson,I served as best man. Groomsman was Gary Williams, Afton, Okla. Richard Barlow and Roger Bar-! low, brothers of the bride, were ; ushers.The bride’s mother chose a navy blue dress with beige accessories for the ceremony. The bridegroom’s mother wore a pink dress with navy blue accessories. Both mothers wore white carnation corsages.A reception was held in the church dining hall. The bride’s table was covered with pink satin under white net. Pink nosegays accented the corners. The center arangement was of pink roses and white candles, placed on either side of the weddingmembers. All types of card games will be available such as bridge, pitch, canasta, penochle, etc. It is sugested that those attending plan to attend as a group of four thereby asuring them of playing the card game they choose.Tickets ($1.50 each) are available at Young’s downtown or from Mrs. Vada Swift at Rocket-dyne. The proceeds of this affair wil be used to replenish the scholarship fund. The chapter has already presented a scholarship to a Goodman girl, who is attending Southwest Misouri State College and to a Neosho girl, who is attending the Neosho Beauty School. It is hoped to make more scholarships available through these benefit affairs.i]1c]1Shower April 4 For Worley FamilyA miscellaneous shower will be held Saturday night, April 3, at the New Hope Community Center (the former Round Prairie School) for the Kenneth Worley family who recently lost their home by fire.The public is invited to attend and bring anything they think would be of benefit to the family. The Worley’s have two sons, age six years and age 18 months. The home and contents were j destroyed so anything will be of.use.cake.The bride is a graduate of Neosho High School and the j bridegroom graduated from Granby High School. He is presently employed at the Joplin Tobacco Company.
