Goodwin-Laws are engagedMr. and Mrs. Houston Kade Goodwin of Grenada announce the engagement of their daughter, Kerry Kade Goodwin, to Dr. Casey Earl Laws, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward Laws of Greenville.The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Griffin of Cleveland, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh D. White Sr. of Columbia. Tenn., and the late Mr. and Mrs Charlie Goodwin of Water Valley.The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Daisy Cremeen, Mrs Frances Laws and the late Robert L Laws, all of Greenville.Miss Goodwin is a 1991 graduate of Kirk Academy in Grenada and will graduate in May from Delta State University with a BSE in special education. While at Delta State, she has been was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity, served as a 1993 Orientation Counselor, was the recipient ofthe Leola G. Williams Award, and served as president of Kappa Delta Pi.Dr. Laws is a 1983 graduate of Greenville High School and a 1988 graduate of Delta State University, where he received a bachelor of science degree in biology. At Delta State, Laws served as Student Government President, was elected to the DSU Hall of Fame, served as vice-president of Kappa Alpha Fraternity, and was the recipient of the Bobby Rowe Memorial Award as DSU's Outstanding Student Leader.
