Specht, Cherokee, and Ronald Green, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Green, Quimby, were united in marriage at the Quimby United Methodist Church in an evening ceremony March 1 with Rev. Melvin Reth officiating.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a toe length gown of white polyester organza. The demure neckine and cuffs of the transparent Bishop sleeves werwoutlined with Venise lace daisies. Matching lace rose motifs trimmed the bodice and skirt that swept to a chapel train. Her veil of illusion fell from a profile headpiece of lace daisies and tiny pearls and she carried a bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath with greenery.Mrs. John Green attended asmatron of honor attired in a white, sleeveless floor-length gown trimmed with lavender velvet. She carried a bouquet of lavender and white carnations.Lt. John Green served his brother as best man.Mrs. John N. Specht providedappropiate music at the organ.A reception was held at the Caravan Country Kitchen, Cherokee, following the ceremony.The couple is at home in Orange City where the groom is employed at Harvestore Distributors.Sports Awards For WillowQUIMBY - Willow Community High School will hold its annual athletic awards potluck banquet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Washta gym.Dewey Halford, former footballcoach at Mormngside College,Sioux City, will be guest speaker.Awards for the 1973-74 athletic \ea»- will be presented to participants of last summer’s baseball and softball teams;football and boys and girls basketball. Track awards will be given at Award’s Night in May.All athletes and their parents, faculty and their spouses are invited. Special invitations are being sent to various helpers.The public is invited to attend the pothick supper but is asked to bring a main dish, salad or dessert.
