Leap Year Day Wedding For Kathleen SimonBy the calendar it will be 100 years until Mr. and Mrs. John R. Pearson will celebrate theirsilver anniversary, for they were married on Leap Year Day, Feb. 29. The bride is the former Kathleen Simon, daughter of the John F. Simons of Arlington Heights, and the groom is the son of Roy Pearson of i Wheaton.The service took place in an 11 a.m. ceremony before Judge Carl Behrens with Cheryl Lynn | Doty of Arlington Heights and Robert Danbom of Red Oak, Iowa, as attendants to the bridal couple.A SURPRISE reception, held March 14, was given by the bride’s mother and sister, honoring the couple.I Mr. Pearson and his bride 1 honeymooned for four days at the Palmer House and are now residing at 657 Elmhurst Road, Wheeling.The new Mrs. Pearson was graduated from Arlington High School and her bridegroom from the University of Illinois.
