Mrs. Edward Lewis Clayton IIIClayton-MaskeMargaret Ona Maske and Edward Lewis Clayton III, both of Winston-Salem, were married on March 16 at First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Jeff White officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Maske of Gastonia. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. W.R. Maske of Polkton and the late Mr. Maske and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln 0. Emery. She is a graduate of South Point High School and Wake Forest University. She is employed by the N.C. Baptist Hospitals Inc. in Winston-Salem.The bridegroom is the son of Edward L. Clayton Jr. of Asheboro and the late Mary Anne Carter Clayton. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh William Carter and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Clayton Sr. He is a graduate of Asheboro High School, Wake Forest University and Babcock School of Management. He is employed by Wachovia Bank.Frank C. Maske gave his daughter in marriage. The bride’s sister, Katherine M. Kirstner of Greensboro, was the matron of honor.Bridesmaids were the groom’s sisters, Caroline C. Bailer of Matthews and Mary Miles McCaffrey of Lawrenceville, Ga. Child attendants were the bride’s nephew, Hunter E. Kirstner, and the groom’s nieces, Anna E. Bailer and Rachel C. Bailer.Edward L. Clayton Jr. was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s brothers-in-law, James C. Bailer of Matthews and William C. McCaffrey of Lawrenceville, the groom’s nephew, Matthew C. Bailer of Matthews and the bride’s brother-in-law, Mark E. Kirstner of Greensboro.A reception was held at the Magnolia Room at Wake Forest University following the ceremony, hosted by the bride and groom. A rehearsal dinner was held at Ryan’s Restaurant, hosted by the groom’s father.Following a trip to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple will live in Winston-Salem.
