MISS NORRIS, MR. MEREDITH MARRIED FRIDAY EVENINGThe marriage of Miss Gwendolyn Norris and Mr. Elwood Meredith tookplace Friday evening at the Methodist parsonage with Rev. Ralph Shea officiating in the presence of a few friends and relatives.*The bride wore a dress of Navy blue crepe with peplum effect, an off the face hat of white straw draped with blue veil. Her corsage was of white throated orchids. Miss Hilda King was maid of honor and Aubrey James served as best man.Mrs. Meredith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Norris. Her brothers are Ronald, Louisville, Ky.,and Ted Norris of Jackson. She is a*graduate of Jackson High school and is now employed by the Pepperton Store.Mr. Meredith is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Meredith. His sister is Miss Betty Meredith and his brothers are Thomas and Glenn Meredith, all of Jackson. He served for several years in the armed forces and is now employed by the Pepperton Cotton Mills.
