Miss Kimbalyn DaNea Brooks became the bride of Tommy Hayes as they exchang ed double ring wedding vows, Saturday evening, March 7 in the First Methodist Church of Lamesa, Texas. The Reverend Jack Webb, associate pastor of the church, performed the ceremony Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Brooks of Clovis and Mrs. J.D. Allison of Coahoma. Guests were registered at the church entrances by Debra Hayes and Selissa Hayes. Kenny Ferguson sang “The Wedding Song’’ and “I Could Never Promise You’. He was accompanied by Gary Jones, Doy Ferguson and Nancy Ferguson on guitars and key board. Donnie Aslin at the organ, played Lohengrin’s ‘Bridal Chorus” as the bride’s proces sional. Vows were exchanged before a wall of varied greenery in terspersed with baby’s breath and accented with candlelabra holding white cathedral tapers, centered with a unity candle. Following the vows and the lighting of the unity candle, Kenny Ferguson sang ‘The Lord's Prayer Presented in marriage by her father, the bride wore white chiffon gown, with a long waisted, fitted bodice, covered with lace. The scooped neckline was outlined in baby pearls, and the long, lace, fitted sleeves featured a soft ruffle at the wrists. The skirt with chiffon overlay, flowed to back fullness, forming a chapel length train. To highlight the skirt and train edges, was a three-layer ruffle rising to a point on each side. The bride wore a large picture hat edged with a double ruffle of lace. She carried a bouquet of white and coral roses Debbie Pittman of Abilene was the matron of honor Bridesmaids were Diane Roberts of Welch, Brenda Bar rier of Brownfield, and Rebecca Brooks of Welch, sister-in-law of the bride. They wore iden tical gowns of navy blue satin. The bodice featured a V- neckline with soft shoulder pleats with long sleeves. A self fabric belt tied at the natural waistline. The long skirt featured a softly pleated front with a center slit and shaped hemline. They each carried a single long-stemmed coral rose. Bobby Hayes of Lubbock at tend his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Kenny Ferguson and Ricky Carstensen of Klondike, and Ricky Brooks of Welch, brother of the bride. Rodney Oaks, Ricky Barkowsky, Chuck Senter and David Cox, all of Klondike, were ushers. The bridegroom was attired in a navy blue tuxedo with tails. He wore a blue rose with coral stephanotis boutonniere. The male attendants also wore blue tuxedos with coral rose and stephanotis boutonnieres. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Fellowship Hall of the church. The bridal table was covered with a white chiffon, floor length cloth, draped with smilax. The table was centered with the bride’s cake, a tiered Italian cream cake decorated with a nosegay of coral flowers and baby’s breath. A brass punch bowl, coffee service and serving dishes, completed the table setting. Those in the house party were Mrs. Billy Schooler, Mrs. Jerry Kelley, Mrs. Marshall Mid dleton, Misses Melissa Myers, Cindy Perkins, Regina Black and Judy Sisson. After a wedding trip the cou ple will be at home at 2602 - 82nd Street, Apt. #18 in Lubbock, where the bridegroom is employed at Bob's Custom Built Homes. Guests were served an assort ment of cookies, dips and finger sandwiches. The table was centered with an arrangement of silk flowers in the bride's chosen colors of coral and blue, on a white over navy blue table cloth. Coffee and punch were served from a silver coffee ser vice and crystal punch bowl. Hostesses with Mrs. Schooler were Mmes. Jerry Kelley, Bill Roberts, Louie Drennan, Lloyd Davis, Dee Williams, Joe Roberts and Marshall Mid dleton. The hostess gift to Kimmy was a set of cook ware The bride-elect was also honored with a kitchen gadget rice bag party in the home of Mrs. Danny Gray. February 15 Assisting Mrs. Gray as hostess was Mrs. Jerry Doss. After guests were served dips, chips, cheese rolls and cokes, they made rice bags for Kimmy's wedding reception Special guests were the bride’s mother, Mrs. Ronnie Brooks of Clovis and her cousins Mrs. Lloyd Gray and Sharina Gray of Lubbock The home of Mrs. Doy Ferguson was the scene of a wedding shower on February 20 Finger sandwiches, dips, chips, cookies and punch were served from a beige linen table cloth centered with a basket of spring flowers. Crystal and china appointments were used to serve the guests. Assisting Mrs. Ferguson as hostesses, were Mrs. Don Holcomb, Mrs. J.P.
