Shannon Defendorf marries Barry VanderstouwMiss Shannon L. Defendorf and Barry W. Vanderstouw were married Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. in Midlakes Methodist Church. The Rev. Marion Massecar officiated The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Pauline Defendorf of Moravia and the late Homer Defendorf The bridegroom is the son of Mr and Mrs C.W Vanderstouw of Throop.Mrs Martha Blackman was matron of honor. Other bridal attendants were Miss Christine Hatfield and Wendy Vanderstouw Karl Vanderstouw, brother of the bridegroom, was best man Ushers included Robert and Richard Vanderstouw.Escorted by her brother, Kent Defendorf, the bride wore a selffashioned gown of white bridal satin, featuring long, full sleeves with Victorian cuffs. It also featured a gathered bodice and square neckline, trimmed with tiny, sheer flowers in pastel shades of pink, blue and yellow The sheer, elbow-length veil was accented by a lace and rhinestone trimmed Camelot cap.A reception was given at the VFW Post 7127 in Moravia.The bride is a graduate of Moravia Central School and Cayuga County BOCESThe bridegroom is a graduate of Port Byron Central School and Cayuga County BOCES.The couple will reside in Hampton, Va, while St. Vanderstouw is stationed at Langley Air Force Base
