On Feb. 16, 1*», Miss Peggy Elaine Marlinek, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Albert F Martinek, Rt 3 Troy, became the bride of Harry E. Leedom, son of Mr and Mrs. Wilbur Lewtom, formerly of Troy, now living in Esoaton, Oalif.. during a double ring ceremony at the First Baptist Ohurdh of Troy, performed by die Rev. Robert Turner.Mrs. Lois Marsh played the organ while John Ktihue sang “Ob, Promise Me, and “The ford's Prayer.”The bride and groom exchanged vows before a background of seven branch eandelabras decorated with white floral arrangements and greenery.The lovely bride wore a white gown of peau de sole with the sleeves ami neckline of embroidered Chantilly lace. Her train, also featuring Chantilly lace, was attached by a bow The finger tip veil, with a pearl headdress, was of bridal illusion lace. She carried a bouquet of white carnations with a delachabia corsage erf white rosebudsMaud of Honor was Betty Aim Henebry. best friend of the bride. Bndeamatron was Mrs Elaine Sanderson, friend of the bride and groom Little Oarolyn Turner was flower girl Ail attendants wore floor length gowns of green and blue brocade with blue velvet ribbon fltmng from the empire waistline. The matching headpieces were erf flowers and blue velvet The gowns were made by Mrs CharlesTunisr ____Beat man for the bridegroom was Ray Coleman, friend of the groom Steve Sanderson, hi end of the bride and groom, was groomsman. Doug Coleman was rtngbearer Ail the men of the wedding party woredark business suits.Kf David Martinek brother of the bride, and SgL Orvel Oadwaliader, cousin of the brick; served as ushers. Each wore their dress blues. The bride’s mother wore a royal blue suit with white lace and a corsage of white carnations.A reception was held following the ceremony in the reception hall 6f the church. A three-tiered wedding cake was baked by Mrs. Marie Wilmes and served by Mrs. Bob Webb Miss Wanda Walker presided at the punch table and Mrs. Ray Coleman at the gift table. The families of' both, the bride and groom, were invited to the home of the bride s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Marti nek, for supper,The bride^s gomg-a way dress was of blue bonded knit trimmed with black velvet. After a short honeymoon the couple is residing at 640 East Cherry St., Troy. MissouriPeggy is continuing lier training at Natural School of Beauty Arts in St. Charles, Mo Harry is employed at Wright City.Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Basil (Imsman of Kirks vdle, grandparents of the groom; Mra Virgil Leedom, (rf Kirksville. aunt of the groom; Mrs. Eugene Lawrence and daughters.
