Mr. John Bornholtz and Miss Mary Lou Saundeas were united in marriage at Mt. Hope Methodist church in Union township on Tuesday, March 13, 1900, Rev. Dunlop of the above church conducting the ceremony.As the bridal party entered the church the soft strains of the wedding march were rendered by Miss Mary Bornholtz, sister of the groom. The bride and bridesmaid, Miss Birdie Saunders, sister of the bride; tho groom and groomsman, Mr. William Bornholtz, were ushered up tho aisles and met at the altar by the pastor, Rev. Duudlop, who performed the ring ceremony.The bride looked lovely in a beautiful gown of old gold satiu trimmed with white satin and pearls. The bridesmaid wore a dress of olive cream organdie trimmed with white chiffon and laee. They carried a bouquot of pink and white flowers. The groom and groomsman wore the usual suits of black.After congratulations the bridal party drove to tho home of tho bride where a wedding breakfast was served in five cQuraea. Tho afternoon and evening was spent in social chat, vocal and instrumental music. Miss Ella Connor and Miss Maggie Rbuland, old schoolmates of the bride, played and sang some of their pretty school time pieces. Miss Mary and Ellen Bornholtz rendered some pretty selections on the organ. Tho presents were beautiful and UBeful and will evpr bo remembered by tho recipients.The bride is one of Plymouth county’s successful teachers and has lived In Stanton since childhood and has many friends who wish her a happy married life. Tho groom Is a quiet and consoloncious young man and is the oldest eon of one of Plymouth county’s prominent farmers, Mr. David Bornholtz. The young people will live on a farm near Hinton.
