Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William Don Houpe, route 5, Statesville.The bride la a graduate of Central High School and is a member of the sophomore class at Appalachian State Teachers College, Boone.Mr. Houpe graduated from Harmony High School and is a member of the senior clsa at MilUgan College, Term.The seven o'clock ceremony, simple and impressive, was conducted by the bride's father, in the presence of a small group, principally members of the two families and a few dose friends.Vases of white gladioli were at the altar. Recorded music was played as a prelude to the service.The bridal couple, who were unattended, entered the church together.The bride wore a dressmaker suit of pale pink faille, with hat of pink flowers and a corsage ofwhite roses.The bride's mother wore a pale blue suit, with white hat, and corsage of white carnations.
