Miss Margaret Kemp) Becomes Mrs. J.P. GormanHOOSICK FALLS, N.Y.—The Church of the Immaculate Conception here was the setting Saturday at 11 a.m. for the wedding of Miss Margaret L. Kempf, daughter of Mrs. Leo F. Kempf of 46 Wilder Ave. and the late Mr. Kempf, and John P. Gorman Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Gorman of 32 Abbott St.The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Donald J. Ammering, O.S.A., who was also celebrant of the Nuptial Mass. Mrs. Raleigh Tatro presided at the orgam and accompanied the vocal soloist, Donald Sutton. The bride was escorted by her brother-in-law, James D. Shaw. An altar boy was Joseph Gorman, brother of the bridegroom.The bridal gown was In peau de sole and Alencon lace In Empire design with chapel-length train. The bateau neckline had lace appliques and the skirt was in A-llne. Her double-tiered silk Illusion veil fell from a headpiece of silk leaves with sequinsand pearls. Her cascade bouquet was of carnations and steph-a not Is.Mrs. James (Patricia) Shaw was her sister’s matron of honor. The other attendants were Mrs. Robert (Diane) Fitzpatrick, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Rouse; Misses Colleen and Bonnie Gorman, sisters of the bridegroom; Margaret Mary Shaw, niece of the bride, flower girl.The senior attendants’ gowns were in aqua silk organza fashioned in Empire style with long sleeves edged with a ruffle. Their headpieces were silkflowers with face veils. The flower girl wore a white gown of peau de sole trimmed in aqua and her headdress was a white organza bow. she carried a basket of spring flowers and the others had cascades of white and yellow carnations with the exception of the matron of honor whose bouquet was of white, yellow andaqua carnations.Richard A. Hickey was best man. Ushering the guests were Thomas Nowak, Leo Bartoski, James Mills and Edward McGuire.For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Kempf chose a two-piece aqua dress with matching accessories. Mrs. Gorman Sr. was attired in a pink dress ensemble with matching accessories. Both had white cymbidium corsages.A reception followed at Hotel Cambridge, Cambridge, N.Y., after which the couple left on a wedding trip to Bermuda. Upon departure, the bride wore a sea-foam green suit with black patentleather accessories and yellow carnations corsage.The wedding principals are both graduates of St. Mary’s Academy here. The bride is a graduate also of Colonna Beauty School in Albany. Her husband, also a graduate of Siena College, is employed by Price-Waterhouse in Syracuse.Out of town guests were included from Albany, Cohoes, Troy, Schenectady, Whitehall, Rome, N.Y., Pittsfield, Mass., and points in New Jersey and the surrounding area.
