Denver CityDENVER CITY (Staff) - Voters of Denver City Independent School District will go to the polls April 5 to elect two members of their board of trustees, and in both positions the incumbents will face opposition.The two candidates elected to the school board will serve full three-year terms of office.Joe Kay, owner of Kay Electric in Denver City, will be seeking his second full term on the school board.Kay is being challenged in his re-election bid for Position 3 by Cas Windham, production supervisor for ARCO Oil and Gas Co.In the race for Position 4 incumbent Dennis G. Harrison will be facing two challengers. Harrison is owner of Harrison Oil Well Service and has been a member of the board since 1975.He will be facing Chip Bennett and Dale Carter in the election for a three-year term. Bennett is a farmer and rancher while Carter is owner and operator of Venture Food Store.
