Betty Jean Johnson and William , Borland both of Blue Earth were married at the Blue Earth Methodist church. The bride is the daughter of Milos, Johnson, Laurens, Towa the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Borland, Blue Earth, The Rev. Herman Kaol perform ed the ceremony. The bride wore a slipper satin gown with a lace yoke and sleeves Her illusion net veil, finger-tip length was worn over a juliet cap. She carried white roses and lily-of the-valley. The matron of honor, Mrs. Shar jtene Hauswirth, sister of the bride and the junior bridesmaid wore light blue taffeta gowns. The other bridesmaids wore American beau ty red taffeta gowns. All of the bride's attendants had white sat in muffs with carnations pinned on them to match their dresses. The bridesmaids were Janne No vak, Hibbing, Charlotte Kandel, Fort Dodge, Iowa; Audre Rome Blue Earth; and Marda Johnson sister of the bride. The groom's brother, Richar Borland, Albert Lea was the best man, Ralph Mittelstadt, Blue Earth was groomsman, Ushers were Robert Cherland, Blue Earth; Harald Kornbaum, Blue Earth. The junior groomsman was John Borland, brother of the groom, Blue Earth, Viola Paschke was the organist. Argyle Borland, uncle of the groom sang “Because,” and “The Lord's Prayer,” at the ceremony. At the reception he sang “I Love You Truly.”” The reception was held at the] Methodist church parlors. Decora tions were in blue and red. There were flowers and candles, Jean Carol Clark had charge of the guest book, Mrs. Morrell Hag man and Mrs. Donald Scott cut the cake, Mrs. William Sparks and Eu nice Dontje were at the gift ta ble, Patricia Borland and Mrs. Richard Borland poured. The bride wore a white gabar dine going - away suit with purple hat and shoes and an orchid cor sage. After a trip in the South the cou ple will make their home In Blue: MR.
