CouplSay VowsInChurchKathy Jane Bearden became the bride of Richard Michael Tharp in a Friday evening ceremony in Kavanaugh UnitedMethodist Church.Rev Don Shaw officiated at the double ring ceremony.Parents of the bride are Dr. and Mrs. Keith Bearden, 2302 Webb. The bridegroom is the son oi Mrs Ray Tharp, 3312 Nashville, and the late Mr. Tharp.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of candlelight nylon over bridal satin enhanced with pearls and appliquesof Alencon lace. The fitted bodice featured long full sleeves and a Victorian neckline. A sweep train and ruffled skirt complemented the gown. The long cathedral veil was held by a pearl and lace Juliet cap She carried a bouquet of white roses and yellow pom poms.Sandra Morrison, the bride's sister, was matron of honor. Carol Bearden, also a sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were JuneTharp, Knel Gandy and Jan Rosenbalm.The bridegroom’sbrother, Johnny Tharp, served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Dennis Moser, Dan ny Burns, Joe Gandy and Rusty Warren.Mrs. Jackie Southard played traditional weddingmusic.Houseparty members were Cindy Burns, Gay Hall, Pat O’Hara, Mary Kay Rothlisberger, DebbieWarren and Janie Moser.Following a short wedding trip, the couple will live in Greenville. Thebride, a graduate of Greenville High School, is a junior at East Texas State University She is employed by the ETSU industry and technology department. The bridegroom, also agraduate of Greenville High School, is a graduate of ETSU. He is a loan officer at Mutual Savings andLoan. He is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.Mrs. Richard Michael Tharp
