Davis—FriendMiss Marjorie Friend daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Friend, Sr. of Yale avenue was united in marriage to Mr. Janies Bateman Davis of Wynnewood, son of Mrs. Edward Griffith Davis and the late Mr. Davis of Scranton, in the First Presbyterian Church, Belair, Md. last Saturday morning at 11 o’clock.The bride who was given in marriage by her father wore a two piece suit of powder blue wool crepe trimmed with red soutache braid. Her corsage was of white orchids. Miss Alice Friend who was her sister’s only attendant wore pale blue crepe with corsage of sweetheartroses and pink sweetpeas.Mr. George Francis of Collingswood,N. J. acted as best man for the groom. After a short wedding trip the couplewill live in the Wynnewood Park Apartments, Wynnewood.The bride is a graduate of Juniata College and has been a librarian at theUniversity of Pennsylvania.The groom is a graduate of Penn State and the University of Pennsylvania and is teacher of Physics in the Lower Merion High School.
