Afternoon ReceptionThe beautiful home of Mrs. J. H. Carmichael was thrown open to a large number of guests on Thursday afternoon from three to five o’clock when the Ladies Missionary Society of the Baptist church and their friends were entertained. Spring flowers were used in profusion and loveliness feigned supreme.In the reception hall and dining-room violets and jonquils were used exclusively In the receiving party were the young iadies of the society, gowned most attractively in lovely springsuits.Some interesting talks on mission work was given and music and recitations also added to the pleasures of the afternoon. Delicious cream and cake was served the guests. It was delightful In every respect and one of the ^gest affairs of the early spring“Ssason.
