Brown ~ Zoltenko WeddingA bright sunny day. powder-fine white sand, the serene blue water of the Caribbean Sea, and a gentle tropical breeze was God’s perfect backdrop for an amazing beach Wedding held in Play a Dei Carmen, Mexico on February 18,2002.TWo hearts were united as Sherri Brown and Richard Zoltenko exchanged their wedding vows at this storybook setting. Proud parents, Phi! and Shirley Brown of Souris, and Lawrence and Elaine Zoltenko of Winnipeg were blessed to be the attendants for'the bride and groom. Also present were their specialfriends, Hank and Marion Krueger ofWinnipeg and Pat KHppenstein of Edmonton.The radiant bride wore a hand-sewn spaghetti strapped, ankle-length gown. The gown, designed by the bride, was of ivory satin covered with shear georgette adorned with hand-painted pink flowers, silver embroidery, and pearl beading. The bridal bouquet of enormous fragrant pink lilies, dotted with delicate yellow-eyed white daisies added an elegant accent to the gown. The groom complimented his bride by wearing an ivory short-sleeved shirt with black dress slacks.The evening began with a pre-dinner celebration at the couple’s private rooftop penthouse patio. By candlelight, as the sun set in the background, the couple shared their first dance to the romantic song “Can’t Help Fallen’ in Love’*, by Elvis Presley.The newlyweds dined by candle and star light with their family and friends at the elegant restaurant “Panchos” on the popular 5th Avenue in Playa Del Carmen. The night would not have been completeMr. and Mrs. Richard Zoltenkowithout the serenade of a Mariachi band and the indulgence in the traditional Mexican wedding cake. The evening was capped with the reading of greetings and well wishes from home.
