Farewell Reception fMrs. Wilfred Addinall entertain- 1 cd at a smart farewell reception i March 1st at her home on Briscoe , St.. London, honoring her daughter. j Miss Dorothv Addinall. whose mar-riage to Frederick E. Crone. Jr.. of ( St. Tohn. New Brunswick, will take ( place here Saturday. About a hun- lt;dred attended the affair for which ( Mrs. Addinall chose a floor length i gown of black velvet. Her daughter 1 was charming in cinnamon ninon 1 fashioned with a hiodi shirred waistline and puffed sleeves and trimmed i with velvet bows. Mrs. F. E. Crone. lt;mother of the groom-elect, also re- 1 ceived wearing a becoming gown of plum crepe. Mrs. A. P. Todd ushered to the tearoom where the table was arranged with a lace cloth, silver candelabra, pink tapers and a low bowl of spring flowers. Presiding* over the tea urns were: Mrs. J. D. Fluker. of Brockville. aunt oi the bride-to-be and Mrs. Ross Mc-Xaughton. sister of the groom-elect. Serving the guests were: Misses Caroline Goodwin, of St. Thomas, who will be maid of honor. X.B.. son of Mr. and Mrs. 1*'. E. Crone. London Rev.E. A. Earchman officiated, assisted ' bv Rev. R. B. Ferris, of Grimsbv, a former minister of the church.Pale pink cyclamen against a deep background of ferns made effective decorations in the church where pink roses, spring flowers and candelabra with softlv burning tapers completed a gracious picture. Bill Younir at the organ played the bridal music.The bride, given in marriage bv her father, was charming .in her long white gown of shimmering satin with voke of ctnbroided net buttoned to the waist at the back and finished with a becoming* Peter Pan collar and modified leg o' mutton sleeves with tapering cuffs. The gown. 1 molded on princess lines, was designed with the new high, ftointed waist line and slight train. The bride’s shoulder-length veil was of white tulle arranged over the face and held with orange blossoms. Her slippers were of white satin, accented in silver and she carried a colonial bouquet of white roses, carnations and freesia.Miss Caroline Goodwin, of St.Thomas, as maid of honor, was * gowned in shell pink chiffon in jacket stvle. with nipped-in waistline and chenille shirrings, the same motif adorning the puffed, shirred■ It .t i f r- 6th.
