They, themselves, started dating later that year while attending summer school at Chapel Hill.Standby ReserveSince that summer (1961), Ernest has served in the United States Army Medical Corps as a laboratory specialist and is now a member of the standby reserve.He teaches chemistry at East Mecklenburg high school, Charlotte, and is a member of the UNC Fifth Year program, a Master’s Degree program under the Ford Foundation.Mr. Macon was graduated from Jamestown high school. Jamestown. N. C., and earned an A.B. degree in chemistry in 1963 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where be was vice president of Rho chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma and belonged to the college's Men’s Glee club.Teaches SchoolMiss Rutledge teaches the third grade at Sedgefield Elementary school.
