Peter and Paul Catholic Church.Officiating at the early evening ceremony were Reverend Herman Defier, Reverend Patrick Flanagan, and Reverend David Meurer.The bride is the daughter of M. D. Scott of New Braunfels and the late Mrs. Scott. Parents of the groom are Mrs. and Mrs. Cecil Fortson, also of New Braunfels.Reverend John Dowling played the organ at the wedding and Mrs. Giles Fortson and Mrs. I^irry Fortson sang.Given in marriage by her father, the bride carried a bouquet of red, white, and peppermint carnations and baby’s breath centered with roses and an orchid. Her white organza gown, trimmed with Cluny lace and ribbon, was designed with a high neckline, modified empire bodice with a button front, bishop sleeves, and an A-line skirt and sweep train edged with the lace. Her white tulle veil fell to fingerti| length from a beaded headpiece of matching lace.Miss Kim Wilkison of New Braunfels was maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Miss Paula Kidd, Mrs. Darryl Acker, and Mrs. Ronald Bischoff of New Braunfels and Miss Dana Dietert of San Antonio. Cousin of the bride, Miss Janet Mc-Clary of Cisco, was the junior bridesmaid.The bridal attendants were dressed in red taffeta gowns trimmed in white lace. The dresses were fashioned with high lace necklines, lace-trimmed bodices which buttoned in front, and bishop sleeves with lace cuffs. An apron edged in lace covered the softly gathered skirts of the gowns.The bridesmaids carried three long stemmed carnations—one red, one white, and one peppermint-trimmed with streamers of the same colors.Sherry Fortson, niece of the groom and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I^arry Fortson of New Braunfels, was flower girl. She wore a long white dress with puffed sleeves made of Mexican rope eyelet. A white velvetribboon marked the empire line and tied in the back.The ring bearer was Keith Fortson, son of Mr and Mrs. Giles Fortson of San Antonio.Serving as best man was Steve Eberhard of New Braunfels.
