■ TV OR NOT TV”: If you canstay up this late, the new three-part HBO series “Hardcore TV” (debuting at 12:30 a.m. Saturday) is an often savagely hilarious little diamond in the rough. This satire of television in the 1990s is somewhat inconsistent; it swings and misses as often as it connects, but when it does, the ball often leaves the park.“Hardcore TV” features such conventional TV send-ups as Fairy Tales From the Darkside,” “This Old Whorehouse” and “Ras-tapiece Theater.” Those all work. One called “Sex Tips From Cindy” that features bogus Siamese twins as guests does not.But you’ll need to tune in to the second episode to find the best bit that turns “Raging Bull” into Raging Bullwinkle,” with the cartoon moose in the center of a violent black-and-white nightmare. Excellent stuff.Be warned, however: “Hardcore TV” is exactly that. It features graphic nudity and more than a little mock bloodshed.
