Chas. Armstrong Weds New Yorker At Lake CharlesMr. And Mrs. John P. Armstrong have returned from Lake Charles, Ln whpre they attended the wedding of their son, Charles Thomas Armstrong, and Mis* Anne V. Mrn-drick of Ozone Park, Long Island, New York, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Mendrlck of New York.The ceremony took place at the home of Mr, and Mrs. John Edwin Armstrong Friday evening at 8 o'clock with Rev. Oeorge Hines, pastor of the First Presbyterian church ln Lake Charles, officiatingThe bride was chic in a soldier blue sheer pleated Schiaparelli model and her sorsage was of orchids.John Edwin Armstrong, brother of the bridegroom, attended the couple.Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong left for a wedding tour of the Oulf Coast. San Antonio and the Rio orande Valley. For her golng-away costume, the bride chose a blue wool casual with blue and English brown accessories. A brilliant young business woman, Mrs. Armstrong was the private secretary to the vice president of the Commercial Investment and Trust Co. m New' York City. She waa educated in New York and attended Grand's Business college there. The bride has traveled extensively, and the wedding climaxed a romance which began in South America.Mr. Armstrong Is a graduate ofthe Greenville high school. Trinity University and attended the Uni-BFTTF DAVIS —- recently starred in Warners' The Letter will he seen next with George Brent inThe Great Lie Hattie and Sam McDaniel are in the cast.verslty of Texas. A gravitational engineer, he has held important positions ln ihe United States and South America.Mr. and Mrs, Armstrong will make their home in Jackson.
