CARR—HARE. -—- Married, at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. J. D. Guthrie of this city, Thursday, March 1, 190G, at 7:00 o’clock,a. m., Mr. Willie E. Carr of this city and Miss Jessie G. I-Iale of Garfield town-township. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a few rela-j tives and intimate friends of the contracting parties. The bride i s the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.'V. Hale of Garfield township and is an accomplished young lady in every respect, and in every way fitted to make their home a* very happy one. The groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. John Carr and one of Mahaska county’s most popular young men. He is first cook at the Princeton Chop House and is highly respected by all who know him. Immediately after the ceremony the parties drove to the home of the bride, wnere an elegant supper was served. Many presents were reclved and they are as follows: A rocker by the proprietors of the chop house; eighteen-piece china set by mother of the bride; two large oil. paintings by the father and mother of the groom; a decorated water set, and the bride’s rose by Warren Weatlierwax; a berry set by Maggie Hale; oatmeal set by Frank Hale; a salad dish by Fay Montgomery; a vegetable dish by May Harold; a set of silver teaspoons by W. S. Harold; a decorated meat plate by Willard Hale; a linen table cloth by Mr. and Mrs. Charley Hale; a tray cloth by Carl Gibbons; a dessert dish by Lydia Speed; a twenty-four piece dinner set l:y Hattie Carr; a fruit dish by Sylvia Carr; a large vase by Della Carr; a cake plate by Mary C. Hale; a bone tray by Audray Hale; a dozen napkins by Van Ory Hale; and, many other useful articles. Many friends congratulate them and extend best wishes.
