Judith Thompson becomest:bride of Jerry Bennett’Miss Judith Jane Thompson,daughter of Mr and Mrs Walter Thompson of Grand Junction, became the bride of Jerry Lynn Bennett, son of Mr and Mrs Jay Bennett of Delta, Utah, on Friday evening, Feb. 26,President Schroeppel of Marshalltown performed the double ring ceremony in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at Ames at T p.m. Mrs Douglas Elgan was organist, and Mrs Gayle L, Morley, sister of the bride, sang “Because” and “Always.”The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a gown of silk organza and Chantilly lace. The bouffant skirt, with chapel train, was trimmed with lace, sequins and pearls.Her veil of silk Illusion was attached to a crown of pearls, and she carried an arrangement of golden talisman roses.Miss Carol Jean Thompson of Grand Junction attended her cousin as maid of honor. She wore a | gown of royal blue satin faille and her matching veil was attached to a jeweled comb. She carried an arrangement of yellow carnations.Brent Koyle of Kansas City, Mo., attended the bridegroom as best man. Doan Thompson and Gayle Morley, brother and brother-in-law of the bride were ushers.Tami Morley and Linda Thompson, nieces of the bride, were flower girls.Following the ceremony, a reception wak 'held in the culturalball*'of the church. Mrs’Dean Thompson and daughter Paul, sister-in-law and niece of the bride, cut and served the three-tiered wedding cake. Mrs N. E. Thompson, aunt of the bride, served punch.Others assisting were Dean Thompson, Mr and M r s Gayle Morley, Geneva Morgan, Mrs Wayne Thompson, Kay Haroldsen, Twila Nye, Jean Turley, Linda Olpin, Norma Smith, MarolynCraig, Roberta Crain, Janet Chent-lant, Susan Haroldsen, Denise Minion, Karen Barnard, Maralyn Hadley and Pat Timmons.The bride is a graduate of East Greene Community School and received her diploma in business machines and clerical work from AIB in Des Moines a year ago. Since then she has been employed at the Engineer Extension Service at Iowa State University in Ames,The bridegroom graduated from high school at Delta, Utah, and completed a year of college work. He is now employed as a manager trainee for the J. C. Penney Com-1 pany in Kansas City, He expects J to receive his degree in business administration from the University of Missouri..After a short wedding trip the couple will be at home at 3834 Pittman Road, Kansas City, Mo.Guests attended the wedding from Delta and Spanish Forks, * Utah; Chandler, Ariz.; Rexburg, Idaho; Las Vegas, Nev.; Blair and Omaha, Neb., and 13 Iowa townsPioneerAugust 0.
