James Gavin and the late Mr. Gavin of Andover, on Sat-; urday morning, Feb. 27 at 10 . o’clock.! The double ring ceremony was solemnized by the Rev. John3 F ; ; Shea in the Blessed Sacrament ! Church.-j Escorted' to the altar by her father, the bride was gowned in a . ballerina length gown of white net and taffeta with matching Jacket A small white crown, trimmed in ,! pearls and sequins held a short, i veil. She carried' a bouquet of red I I and white chyrsanthemums,( Mrs. Donald' Gavin, sister-in-law of the groom, acted as matron of i honor. She wore a ballerina length I gown of chiffon with black acces sories, and carried a bouquet ctf white chrysanthemums..The Misses Karol Ann and Kathleen Gavin, nieces of the groom and daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gavfn, were flower gir’s They were attired in street-length white d'resses with white accesso1* les and carried baskets of red andwhite chrysanthemums.Donald Gavin was best man forthere of the groom..For her daughter’s wedding,1Mrs. McAndrew selected a red! dress with blue accessories, complemented by a yellow sweethear'rose corsage. The groom's mother chose' a navy blue dress with black I i accessories and a corsage of yellow sweetheart roses.A reception was held' from 1 to 3 , o’clock at the American Legion | home for about 150 guests.' The bridal table was centered with a four-tiered white wedding! cake decorated in pink rosebuds and hearts and topped by the ■miniature bride and groom.
