The wedding occurred promptly at 8 o’clockand by hard driving we arrived justin the nick o’ time, and found a housefull of merry guests, the followingpersons trom Kokomo helping to swellthe crowd: Mr. and Mrs. WalterHooper, Mr. and Mrs. Scotton anddaughter, and Mr. and Mrs. J. WBarnes. Rev. Mr. Evans had the honor of uniting them in the holy bondswedlockimpressive ceremony. After the usualcongratulations had been made, theguests were treated to a splendid lapsupper to which all did ample justiceWe have long known both bridegroompatian Goyertrious and good-looking young man.has long beenin our public schools. She is edumodest and refinedas good a wife as she did ateacher Mr. Goyer may well beof her.They will go to housekeeping atonce.on their own farm, and may joygo with them.We started for home just as themysterious serenaders, with theirthousand and one instruments, wereflitting through the dark preparatoryto surrounding the house, and whenfull a mile away we paused and listened to the wierd music that soundedmore like strains from the r calms ofPiuto than of earth, and for a momentwe wished we were a boy again.B.Ii
