Haan in the Montel-lo Park Christian Reformed Church on June 17.The bodice of the gown and the kabuki sleeves were fashioned of imported alencon lace and garlands of lace decorated the skirt and yoke of the sleeveless coat which fell to a chapel train. Her elbow-veil of imported illusion was held by a cluster of organza romance roses on a platteau of alencon lace motifs. She carried a bouquet of white roses centered with a large white orchid. She was escorted to the altar by her father.(Joel s photo)with pearls and illusion veiling and carried bouquets of yellow and white roses.The newlyweds greeted about 135 guests at a reception held in Jack’s Garden Room with Mr. and Mrs. Orville Dalman,brother-in-law and sister of the groom, as master and mistress of ceremonies. Kathy Wierda. sister of the bride, Dresided at the guest book and Mr. and Mrs. James Klamer served punch. Arranging the gifts were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lippinga, Jerry Lee Yntema and Joyce De Eruin.The mother of the bride woreEiaftVaanlife1W ckVahecoiIThe daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Wierda of 9 West 19th St. and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Haan of 5576 Madison Ave., Hudsonville, exchanged their vows before the Rev. Gilbert Haan who performed the ceremony in a setting of palms and ferns and bouquets of whitegladioli and yellow mums, a large candle tree filled with gladioli and mums and a pair of spiral candelabra. Chimney candles decorated the pews accented with stephanotis sprays.a celery green and gold brocade dress with matching jacket and the groom’s mother was attired in a silk blue-green dress with matching jacket. Corsages of symbidium orchids complemented their ensembles.The bride changed to an off-white a-line dress and coat ensemble with moss green trim and accessories for a two week honeymoon to Colorado. They wore floral headpieces dustedIoutfit was complemented by an orchid corsage.The couple will reside in the married housing division of Michigan State University, East Lansing, where the groom is studying urban planning at the University. A member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, Mr. Haan received his Associate of Applied Science degree from Ferris State College.
