William Snyder, pastor of the St. Andrew’s Lutheran church, Boswell performed a •double ring wedding ceremony Saturday when Miss Nancy Lu Ann Shank became the bride of George Gore, Jr. Decorations at the church were bouquets of mixed flowers. Ushers were Donald Gore, brother of the bridegroom, and Alton Walters, with Michael Be-jack, Pittsburgh as best man.Music was furnished by Gilbert Davis, as soloist, and Sandra Shef-tic presided at the organ. Favorite selections of the bridal couple were presented.The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Villa L. Shank, Boswell. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Gore of Shady Nook, Jen- j ners.The maid of honor was Mrs. Robert Rose, Hyndman with these bridesmaids, Mrs. David Williamson, Pittsburgh; Mrs. William Letcher Shank, sister-in-law of the bride and Mrs. Michael Bejack, Pittsburgh. Ring bearers were the niece of the bridegroom, Diana Davis and the bride’s nephew, Billy Shank. The children carried the wedding rings on white satin pillows.William Letcher Shank, brother of the bride, presented her in marriage. She wore a white lace and net gown, styled with bodice having long sleeves and high neckline. . Her illusion veil was topped with \ a tiara. The Bible she carried had on it a corsage centered with orchids.The mother of the bride wore a beige dress with white accessories. Mrs. Gore, mother of the bridegroom, wore a muted print dress, both wore carnation corsages.At the reception which followed in the social rooms of the church, 150 guests attended. Flowers decorated the bridal table which had a four tier wedding cake as the centerpiece with a miniature bridal couple adorning it. The couple left for a wedding trip through Ohio, and they will stop at Cincinnati. Their home will be in Boswell.A graduate of Boswell high school, the bride is also a graduate of Clarion State Teacher’s college. She taught for three years at Penn township schools, Pittsburgh and is now employed as a teacher in the Conemaugh township schools, Jerome.The bridegroom attended Johnstown high school and was graduated from Boswell high school. He served in Japan during the recent war. While in high school he participated in many dramatic produc- 1 tions, and later attended the Fagan ; School of Dramatic Arts. He has 1 been a frequent member of the cast at the Mountain Playhouse, \ Jennerstown, and is now dramatic ' director of Gore Productions.W.S.C.S. Groups at Mt. Pleasant for District MeetingThe Woman’s Societies of Christian Service of the various Methodist churches of the McKeesport district met Tuesday in the First Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant with about 200 local officers present. Mrs. C. L. Wedell of McKeesport, president of the district presided.Mrs. C. N. McCandless of Con-nellsville, district secretary of spiritual life, led the worship service using as her topic “Isaiah Speaks to Me.’’Mrs. Robt. White of Perryopolis, district vice-president, spoke on the theme “Christ for the World We Sing’’ and the World Federation of Women.A panel discussion on the work of the supply secretaries and the treasurers was presented by Mrs. Ralph Campbell and Mrs. H. A. Coughanour, both of Uniontown.The new study course books were presented by Miss Corda Weltner of Uniontown. These books are now available at the Methodist Publishing House.Mrs. H. N. Shriver of Connells-ville, reported on children’s work and Mrs. J. V. Mullins of Uniontown spoke on youth work.The district secretary of literature and publications, Mrs. J. L. Hammitt of McKeesport, discussed the materials and books available on the literature table.Mrs. S. P. Bower of Confluence, district secretary of promotion, urged that reports be in on time and that local societies have a local officers training day.After the conclusion of the business, each district officer met with her local officers and explained the work of her department and answered questions.A very pleasant day was climaxed with a luncheon.The McKeesport district extends from Somerset to Brownsville and from McKeesport to Point Marion with 101 societies.personalsMr. and Mrs. J.
