Bonnie Lou Vick Became Bride Of Hassel Spraberry June 9thThe marriage of Miss Bonnie Lou Vick to Hassel Ray Spraberry of Anson took place Thursday evening. June 9, in the home of the bride’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Vick in San Angelo. The Rev. Fred Blake, pastor of the Baptist church at Robert Lee, officiated in the double ring ceremony.Th bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L, Spraberry of Anson.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ankle - length white organdy over white taffeta dress with long fitted bodice, round neckline, full skirt and her fingertip veil of organdy fell from a crown of rosebuds. She carried a heart-shaped bouquet of pink roses and feathered carnations.The bridal party stood before an altar of greenery and white flowers and candelabra.Miss Alta Jo Martin of Anson, cousin of the bridegroom, played the wedding music and accompanied Miss Patsy Respess of Swenson. ‘a he sang, Because.”Miss Jean Meeks of San Angelo was maid of honor and MissiPatsy Spraberry was maiden of honor. They wore similar organdy dresses in pale yellow and pale orchid. They carried colonial bouquets of gardenias and feathered carnations.Miss Allie Beth Rosson of Snyder and Miss Dorothy Jean Cowan of Gainesville were candlelighters. They wore identical dresses in pale green organdy and white carnation head dresses.Marian Spraberry of Anson, cousin of the bridegroom, served as best man.A reception immediately followed the ceremony in the Vick home. The bride's table was centered with a bouquet of pink carnations and flanked with pink candles in candelabra. Miss Patty Lou Stephens of Anson served the three-tiered cake and Miss Betty Sue Stephens of Anson poured the punch. Miss Louise Green of Eden registered the guests.For her wedding trip to New Mexico, the bride wore a blue crepe dress with white and pink accessories and a pink rosebud corsage.Mr. and Mrs. Spraberry are now making their home in Anson where lie is engaged in farming.The bride attended San Angelo schools and was a senior at Har-din-Simmons University.
