Annabell Ellis Becomes Bride Of Martin Hankins of HoustonMiss Annabelle Ellis, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F Ellis of this city, became the! bride of Mr. Eli Martin Hankins I of Houston in a simple ceremony held Thursday morning, June 24. at 11:30 o’clock.Rev. C. E. Marshall, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiated at the ceremony attended only by the immediate family and a small group of close friends.White daisies, painted pink asters and gleaming white tapers furnished an effective setting for the ceremony.The bride entered with her father who gave her in marriage. She wore a modish white knit talleur with white and brown accessories. Summer blossoms formed her shoulder corsage,| An informal reception followed i the wedding. The lace-covered 'table held a crystal punch bowl banked with queen’s wreath and fern. Mrs. George Anderson and Miss Lucille Bardwell, assisted by j little Miss Mary Reese, served a | salad course followed by punchland individual embossed cake! squares.The bride’s register of guests was kept by Miss Mary Baker.After a wedding trip to Galveston Mr. and Mrs. Hankins will make their home in Houston.The bride has lived in this cityfall her life and here received all her schooling. She received her B. B. A. degree with the class of 1935, For two years she has been a member of the Kingsville Public j School faculty. Mr. Hankins’ for-mer home was in Robstown. He is j an employe of the Humble Oil Company.Guests present at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. GarretsonEllis, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Ellis, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Braskamp of Misson, Mrs. James Wickware of Pearsall, Mrs. W. M Hankins and sons Max and James of Robstown. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith and little daughter of Bishop, Mrs. C. E. Marshall, Miss Mary Bartlett, Miss Lucille Bardwell and Mrs. George Anderson.
