The followingwere the guests: Miss Irene Hiltabidel, daughter of the groom; Mr. Graham, uncle, and Wm. and Miss Emma Graham and Mrs. Houghland, cousinsof the bride. At about 9:30 o'clock nwedding supper was served. On the day following the bridal party, the minister and the guest?. enumerated jabove, went out to the Eldon fairgrounds and picnieed. Mr. and Mrs. Hiltabidel and Mr. Hiltabidel’s daughter, Miss Irene, returned to Eddyville Saturday evening and the happy cou-pie at once went to the groom’s residence on South Fourth street, where they will reside. They received quite a number of visitors Saturday evening, all of whom tendered hearty congratulations. The bride had been visiting in Eldon for some weeks prior to their marriage. Mr. Hiltabidel joined her atthat place the day of the wedding. Mr. Hiltabidel has lived here quite a number of years and has shown himself to be a good and honorable citizen. His bride is a lady of many good qualities. She has also lived here several years.Married, at the home of the bride’s parents, on North Second street, at 4 o’clock this .Tuesday) evening. June 28. Miss Gertrude McNeese to James Lawless, of Des Moines. Rev. W. R. Yard, the Baptist pastor, officiating in the presence of the following relatives and friends: Miss Fanny McKanna, ofDes Moines: Mesdames May and Lucy Pendray, of Oskaloosa. and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Jones and daughter. Miss Minnie, and Mesdames B. H. Sur-baugh, Ellen Rose, and Maggie Watkins. An elegant supper was served shortly after the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Lawless took the 7:43 train for Des Moines to make their future home,the groom being a young business man of that city. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. B. McNeese. Sheformerly held a position with theChamberlain Medicine Co., of Des Moines, but has been at home for about three months past. She is spoken of highly by all who know her.Phil tuber went to Waterloo today to be present at the marriage of his son. Charles Stuber, to Miss Minerva C. Smith, also of Waterloo. The wedding takes place Wednesday, June 29. at 8:30 p. m. The groom-to-be formerly lived here and was a graduate of the class of ’97. Eddyville High school. He is one of the worthy young men who stands to Eddyville’s credit. He is engaged in mercantile pursuits.nrnTTTC?
