Interesting Wedding.A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Botolphs Church, Bishopsgate, on Saturday morning last, in which the contracting parties were Miss Beatrice Weston (eldest daughter of Mr. 1). Weston, of Enfield Wash) and Mr. Frederick John Kitchener, tho service being conducted by the Rev. Mr. Hoskins. The bride, with her father and maids, were conveyed from Enfield Wash to the Church in well-horsed equipages supplied by Mr. J. North, jobmaster, of Enfield Wash, and were there met by the bridegroom and a large number of friends. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dre*s of cream alpaca, trimmed with chiffon; she wore a wreath and veil embroidered with silk, and carried a magnificent bouquet of orchids, lilies, and white, roses. The bridesmaids were the Misses Blanche and Ruby Weston (sisters), and the little Misses Lily and Mabel Clay (nieces). The former wore dresses of pale grey cashmere, trimmed with white silk and chiffon, and picture hats trimmed with white chiffon and ostrich feathers, and carried pretty bouquets of pink and white rose3, geraniums, and maidenhair fern. The juvenile maids looked very pretty in dresses of cream cashmere, trimmed with cream satin, and Leghorn hats with ostrich tips. These latter carried baskets of carnations, lilies and roses. Master Bertie Crane acted as page. The groomsman was Mr. Henry Clay. The ceremony over, Mr. and Mrs. Kitchener left the Church amidst many expressions^of good-will. .The wedding breakfast was served in a spacious marquee which had been erected at the rear of the house, Mr. Linscott catering most satisfactorily. The tables were prettily decorated with a profusion of choice flowers, and presented a most pleasing appearance. Some thirty guests partook of breakfast, and also participated in the subsequent festivities. The usual toasts were proposed and duly honoured. During the afternoon the happy couple left for Clophill, Beds, where the honeymoon is to be spent.The following is a list of the presents: —Bride to bridegroom, diamond pin.Bridegroom to bride, gold brooch set with pearls. Master Bert Crane, toilet tray.Mr. Bennett, fruit dish.Mr and Mrs. Shepherd, silver and glass jam dish.Mr. Carl Uaselgreen, pair handsome vases. _As a continuation of the marriage festivities above referred to, Mr. Weston, on Monday evening last, gave a supper to his employees, to which he also invited several of his friends and neighbours, from 40 to 50 being present, the supper being served in the marquee in which the previous festivities had been held. The cloths removed, the remainder of the evening was devoted to toast* and harmony, the presence of tlie Waltham Cross and District Band, under Mr. Costello, contributing much towards the latter. Mr. Weston presided, and Mr. J. R. Codling occupied the vice-chair.The usual loyal and patriotic toasts having been honoured, .The Vice-chairman proposed Success to the Firm. and. in doing so. referred to the progress the firm of Weston and Co. had made during the thirteen or fourteen years it had been in existence.Mr. Beadle (foreman bill-poster), in '«*cnnd-ing, paid a high compliment to the founder of the feast.Mr. Weston, in^ acknowledging rhe roa-t. said any success to which he had attained was in a large measure owing to hi • * m-ployecs. To-day they were the largest lidl-posting company in the North of lon'lnt. and he assured the men that increased mh:\-«**s to the firm would mean the highest v.ag« , possible to the employees.Mr. Pouter (the manager of the Hert'nid and Ware branch) also spoke.Mr. W. J. Jackson, who rendered “ Behold me standing at the door, and 11A wonderful Saviour.’’Excursion to tiik Seaside.—The excursion to Clacton, organised under the auspices of the Hackney and Eaab Middlesex Band of Hope Union, and made on Tuesday last, Mas participated in by a large number of persons-especially young people—from tho eastern portion of the parish. These included the Excelsior Band of Hope, the children of the Congregational Sunday School, and also several of the congregation of that church ; the Band of Hope and many friends from the Baptist Chapel, Totteridge-roud, and a contingent from the Ponders-end Mission, Jute Estate. The day was delightfully fine, there being but one brief shower, and that while the excursionists were partaking of tea. The outward journey was entered upon at 0.40 a.m., home being reached at about 11 o’clock.
