Gerhardt Mengers performed the double-ring ceremony in the presence of 150 guests, before an altar decorated with pink gladioli, white carnations and palms.Dennis McMaken, brother of the bridegroom, presented a program of vocal music accompanied by Mrs. Lowell Sloan at the organ.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal empire gown she designed of white scalloped lace over satin featuring long full sleeves, wide cuffs and a stand-up collar. Pearls accented the waistline. Her veil of illusion was secured to a headdress of seed pearls and lace. She carried a colonial bouquet of white and pink roses.Mrs. Chris Garrett, Casstown, served as matron of honor. She wore a gown of sheer pink cotton over satin, featuring:''ah'- Smpire:/ftaistlirie,' tfirhihed with pearls, long full sleeves with wide cuffs and a standnip collar. She carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations and pink roses.Dick Dickerson, Casstown, performed the duties of best man. Luther McMaken, brother of the bridegroom, served as acolyte.Seating guests were Russell Wheeler, Sidney, and Edward Maxwell, Jackson Center.A reception followed in the fellowship hall of the church. Hostesses were Mrs, Max Reeder and Mrs. Dan Whitson, both of Piqua, and Miss Barbara Hamiel, Troy. Miss Teresa Maxson, Conover, attended the guest book.The bride is a graduate of Miami East High School, 1969, and Victor Comptometer School, She is employed as a teller at the Third Savings and Loan Co.The bridegroom is a 1968 graduate of Miami East High School.
