SmithCandelabra with swags of green leaves, pink daisies and pink ribbon bows adorned the altar of the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange for the June 10 marriage ceremony of Miss Marsha Jean Mugg and Stephen Alexander Smith. Miss Mugg is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cranston Mugg, 239 Kings ct., LaGrange Park. Mr. Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Edward Smith of Oak Park.The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Steven Cranston Mugg before the Rev. Henry W. Andersen. Mrs. Harold Woehrle was organist.The bride selected a gown of silk organza over bouquet taffeta for her wedding. The bodice and Kabukl sleeves were of French alencon lace trimmed with seed pearls and the A-line skirt featured a detachable full chapel train. Her pouff veil of illusion was held by a headpiece of white silk roses and velvet petals. She carried a bouquet of gardenias and stephanotis outlined by dark green leaves with trailing ivy fastened on a white fan.Her twin sister, Miss Mary Jane Mugg, was the bride’s only attendant. Her dress was a full length sheath of white saki with Venetian lace and posy pink ribbon throughout the lace. The dress had cap sleeves and her headpiece was pink silk iusioa. fastened to a pink bow. Her shoes were a matching pink and she carried a bouquet of baby breathand pink painted daisies.The bridegroom’s brother, Barrett A. Smith served as best man and Michael Freeland of Armonk, N.Y., Frank Harrold, Oak Park, and Bruce Bell of Cincinnati were ushers.The bride’s mother wore a pink silk suit and the bridegroom’s mother had a dress of pale blue • shantung. Both had corsages of cymbidium orchids.Following the ceremony a reception was heldMuggin Fellowship hall of the church. Pink and white flower arrangements and greens encircled the wedding cake. Presiding at the tea and coffee table were Miss Barbara Stanek of LaGrange and Mrs. Don Johnston of Lyons. The punch servers were Miss Liz Johnson of Washington, Hi. and Mrs. Barrett Smith.The newlyweds are now at home in Champaign. The new Mrs. Smith was recently graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in Urbana. She spent her junior year at the University of Madrid, Spain and will teach Spanish and English in high school in Mansfield this fall. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and Sigma Delta PI, Spanish honorary.Mr. Smith will continue his studies at the University of Illinois. He has completed his military service, one and one-half years of which were spent in Germany, He is a Delta Tau Delta fraternitymember.the evening before the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents gave the rehearsal dinner at theOld spinning Wheel in Hinsdale.Pre-wedding showers for Miss Mugg included a miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. Paul Rauth In Oak Park. Fair Oaks Presbyterian church friends of Mrs. Roy E. Smith, the bridegroom’s mother, attended the shower. A luncheon andmiscellaneous shower at the Oak Park Arms hotel was given by Mrs. Laurence Green of Elmwood Park, and a brunch and kitchen shower was given by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harrold.
