Miss Esther Cooper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Cooper o€ Scandia and Mr. Virgil E. Morrow, son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Morrow of« * Shawnee, Okla., were united in marriage Sunday evening June 25the at 8:00 p.m. at the Methodist church in Scandia. ... The double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. J. Orville Bookless. The church was beautifully decorated with floor baskets of white gladioli with orchid santinbows. On each side of the altar, candelabra, holding white tapers.Mrs. George Dooley of Belleville played the wedding music and accompanied Mrs. Bob Cox, who sang “Because,” and “Thine Alone.”The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore whit^ summer satin, ankle length, with fitted bodice, roll collar, satin covered buttons dowrl the front, very brief sleeves princess panels, front and back, with the sides of the skirt full. Her veil was shoulder length. Her only Jewelry was her grandmother’s gold necklace which her mother had worn at her wedding. Her bouquet Was of white ‘carnations and lilies of the valley, centered with a purple orchid corsage. * sHer maid of honor, Miss Helen Ver-hoeff from Grinnell, wore a lavendaridotted Swiss, ankle length dress. The bridesmaid, Mrs. John J. Whitney of Concordia wore a pastel green corded dimity dress. \Janet Allen and Shirley Forney of Belleville were the flower girls and wore blue pastel dresses. AH carried on their arms, hearts of white1 flowers and ribbons matching their dresses. Warren Zimmerman of RedVCloud, Nebr., acted as best man andI kArthur Cardwell of Scandia acted as groomsman. Ushers were John Paul Cooper and Wm. Moe of Scandia who also lighted the candles.Following the ceremony a reception 1 *was given in the church parlors, served! by the Methodist W.S.C.S.I The lace covered stable was centered with a four-tierred wedding cake top* ped with miniature wedding bells and orange blossoms, on a mirror wreaths with pink roses, with pink candles on each side. Mrs. Dennis Htfrkman o£ Wayne and Mrs. Dennis Cooper of Belleville lt;?ut the cake. Mrs. .William Moe poured. Mrs. Harold Smith wa in charge of the guest book, Mrs. E.V. Van Nortwick of Belleville and Miss Patricia Dwerlkotte Of Marysville were in charge of the gifts.For traveling the bride chose a suit of White Strutter cloth, orchid blouse white accessories and an orchid corsage. They left immediately for a wedding trip, after which they will be at home in Scandia.
