FARMINGTON SOCIAL ACTIVITIESBy JEAN MARSHALLDelightful Shower For Mfam ShannonMARRIAGESWedding of Miss Marv Elizabeth Walker and Geo. Truitt McllhaneyThe wedding of George Truitt Mo-Ilhaney and Mary Elisabeth Walker was solemnized Friday morning in the Baptist Church with Rev. Dick Sam-mon officiating. As Mrs. G. L. Butler played the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin the bridal party entered in the following order, up the north aisle came the ushers, John Utton and I Leonard Walker, followed by the bridesmaids Ouida Duncan and Dyvena Stiles, then came the bride w'ith her maid of honor. Bessie Stiles; the minister walked alone up the middle aisle while the groom with his best man, Victor Walker, followed by little Johnnie Marian Green, the ring hearer marched up the south aisle. The party met at the chancel rail where the ceremony was performed with the bride and groom standing beneath a beautiful floral arch, made of long sprays of rambler roses. The church was very tastfully decorated The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 0, C. Walker of this place, wore a lovely frock of white crepe satin,Bessie’s dress was blue while Ouida and Dyvena wore green and yellow respectively: allcarried arm bouquets. The couple left the church as Mrs. Butler played the Mendelssohn Wedding March and entered their appropriately tagged auto but were plentifully showered with rice before they could reach the same. Aft er a delicious wedding dinner at the Walker hlt; me they drove to Durango. and on their return the next day were dinner guests of Mr. andand altar of the Catholic Church always beautiful was unusually lovely t with masses of pale pink roses. Mr. j and Mrs. Joe Kell unears were the only attendants. The bride was lovely in a dress of white Gat back crepe and veil of illusion; her large arm bouquet wis of pink roses. Mrs. Kellanears, sister of the bride, wore a ribbon trimmed frock of white silk voile over pink and a large pink hat. Misses Anna CAslon-guay and Clara Zambahlen sang, Oh Sacred Heart of Jesus* and We Need Thee Gracious Jesus, and Miss Cast-onguav played the organ softly dur-, ing the serviee. The bride’s bouquet was catfish; by her sister. Miss Anna Shannon, Mrs. Keenan is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Thomas Shannon of the Peninsula at whose home a splendid wedding dinner was served to 25 cuest-s. Immediately after dinner the happy young couple left on a honeymoon trip.H. H. Miller end Ellen KelUnears were hostesses at a tnis-eetlaneoua thonrasr for Miss Madeline Shannon at the home of Mrs. Miller on Wednesday of last week. The bride-DiwinuWto-be was the recipient of many beautiful and useful gifts. The house wastastefully decorated with blue birds and a very pleasing’ musical program was given. Delicious brick ice cream and cake were served and punch was dispensed throughout the afternoon. Many beautiful gifts were showered upon the bride who is one of our most popular girls. Punch was served throughout the afternoon and before leaving the guests all enjoyed brick ice cream and delicious cakes. The ladies of the Eastern Star and Mes-dames Geo. Everett. C. L. Everett, R.
