PAGE TWOFormer Arlington ( ( ouple Married At MaywoodA very pretty home wedding was solemnized Saturday evening, June 23rd at 7:30 o’clock when Miss ♦ Augusta Meentz, eldest daughter I f ol Mrs. Carl Carstens and Ralph Schmidt, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Schmidt, all formerly of Arlington Heights were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Fred Weinbauer Sr., 510 South 4th Ave, Maywood.The Reverend Elierbrak# performed the ceremony.The bride’s attendants were Mrs.A. Blume, matron of honor, a sister of the bride, who wore a gown J i of pink taffeta and carried a bou-quet of pink rosebuds, and Miss Katherine Weinbauer of Maywood, bridesmaid who was gowned in green taffeta and carried a bouquet «f tea roses.The bridal party entered to the strains of Lohengrin’s wedding march played by Mrs. Fred Wein-bauer Jr. of Maywood. Little Carol Ewald and Paul Pingel Junior carried a basket of rose petals which they scattered in the path of the bride. The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white georgette and wore a full length veil of tulle and lace.She carried a shower bouquet of bride’s roses and sweet peas.The groom was attended by his brother, Herbert Schmidt anti Arthur Karch Of Chicago.Two solos, “O, Promise Me,” and “I Love You Truly,” were sung by Miss Martha Heifers of Ben-scnville, cousin of the bride.Mr. and Mrs. Nick Schmidt, parents of the groom celebrated on this date, their 25th wedding anniversary, entering with the bridal party and taking part in the ceremony. Mrs. Schmidt wore a gown of gray georgette.The ceremony was followed by a reception at Thierbach’s hall to which 120 friends and relatives had been invited. During the reception several speeches were made and also a reading was given by Miss Alice Becker, cousin of the bride.After the reception the bride and groom left on an extended motor trip through the western states including California. Lpon their return they will make their home in Elmhurst.
