Dennis and Miss Iliddie Bed well, at the residence of the bride’s mother, West Second Street last evening, was a prominent and interesting event, which has interested society circles for some time In this city. The weather was balmy and beautiful to the last degree and everything tended to make It one of the most pleasant and happy occasions of our social life.The contracting parties are from tfte w alks of our best society and embark upon the matrimonial sea with fair winds and cloudless skies to cheer them on to the tinal port of happy and sunny old age. Mr. Dennis has for the past year been employed as deputy county auditor, where his careful and able business sagacity and natural aptness for the position has won for him the highest enoomiume from those with whom he has come in contact. Pleasant and affable, painstaking and obliging, honest and of recognized ability, Mr. Dennis has by his straightforward methods made hosts of friends in Wapello county, who will extend to him hearty congratulations on this auspicious occasion. Mr. Dennis has at various times siuce his residence in Ottumwa, on account of his acknowledged ability as an account ant and exemplary young man, held lucrative and responsible positions with some of our most prominent firms. lie was for some time identified with the great mining corporation, the Whitebreast Coal Mining Company, as assistant superintendent, which position he resigned to accept the deputy auditorship of this
