Miss Ruth Eloise Adam and George Dale Wilson Wed *ln Middle Point ChurchThe Methodist Cfiurch at Middle Point was the scene Saturday afternoon of the wedding of Miss Ruth Eloise Adam, daughter of ^vMr. and Mrs. L. W. Adam of ^Washington Township, and Geoi^e Dale Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Wilson of 421 South Avenue. The service took place at 4:30 o’clock, and Rev. Albert N. Straley officiated, using the double ring rite.%) Bouquets of white gladioli and white asters, and candelabra graced the altar, and pews were marked with white satin ribbons and magnolia foliage.A musicale preceding, was presented by Mrs. William Knepper as pianist, and Watson Ley, vo-(^•calist and Mrs. Watson Ley, organist. Instrumental selections were “Clair de Lune”; “Be My Love’’; “Serenade”; “Moonlight Sonata,” and vocal numbers were “Because” and “In a Monastery Garden,” and at the close of the ^ service, “The Lord’s Prayer.” Dur-P ing the service, Mrs. Knepper played “Oh Perfect Love,” and traditional wedding marches were used for the processional and recessional.The bride's wedding gown was of frosted organdy over satin, |. styled with a fitted bodice which ™ featured a sheer yoke with flowers appliqued at the neckline. The sleeves were long, fitted, and tapered to points over the wrists, and the bouffant skirt was ballerina length. Her shoulder length veil of imported silk illusion was ^ attached to a cornet of frosted organdy. Her flowers were an arm bouquet of white regal lilies tied with white satin ribbon. Her gift from the bridegroom was a three-strand pearl necklace, and he also gave gifts to all members of the wedding party, k Mrs. George Bower, sister of the * bride, was matron of honor. Her gow n was of pink marquisette over satin, fashioned with a strapless bodice appliqued with white flowers; a bouffant skirt, and with itwore a marquisette duster fastened high at the neckline with a large bow. She wore a picture hat of pink horsehair braid with long ! streamers in the back. She carried an arm bouquet of pink carnations tied with pink ribbon.Ronald Young was best man for Mr. Wilson, and Edwin Adam, brother of the bride, and John Paulus, Jr., were the ushers.The bride’s mother wore a cy-clamin pink silk shantung suit with navy accessories, and Mrs. Wilson, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a silk crepe orchid dress, and white accessories. Their corsages were purple-throated white orchids.The reception immediately after the ceremony was held in the church social room. Pink and white streamers, and roses and white lilies were used for decorations. Cake, ice cream and punch were served.Mr. and Mrs. Wilson went to “Whispering Pines,” summer home of the groom at Dingman Point on the St. Lawrence River, heart of the Thousand Island region for their honeymoon. For travel, the bride wore a gold colored suit with navy accessories, and a purple orchid corsage.The former Miss Adam is a graduate of Middle Point High School and attended Bowling Green State University. Mr. Wilson, a graduate of Van Wert High School, also attended Ohio State University. He is owner of the Wilson Gift Shop. After September 1, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson will be at home on Ervin Road.Out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Howell of Delavan, N. Y.; Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hubbard of Buffalo, N. Y.; Mrs. Robert Barber and daughter, Betty, of Arcade, N. Y.; Mr. and Mrs. Eben Jones, Miss Phyllis Roberts, and Miss Freida McDowell of Findlay; Miss Louise Wahl of Detroit; Miss Laurel Groff and Ted Perry of Hammond, Ind.
