Unusually attractive was the marriage of Miss Cecile Poirier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Armand Poirier of 1275 Lakeview avenue, Dracut, to Mr. Donat Tanguay, son of Mr. Hermenegilde Tanguay of 115 Aiken street Saturday at a nuptial mass celebrated in Ste. The-rese’s church, Dracut, at 8 o’clock. The respective fathers served as witnesses.The event was enhanced by the presence of two uniformed semimilitary drill teams. Garde St. Louis and the guard of the Altar Boys of St. Jean Baptiste church. The bridegroom is a member of both organizations. The altar boys were Edmond Boutin and George Pro-toppappas, students at the Oblate juniorate in Colebrook, N. H.A special program was sung by a choir composed of altar boys of St. Jean Baptiste church. The drill teams served as escorts before and after the ceremony.The bride wore a gown of white lace and satin, with tulle veil, trimmed with lace. She carried white roses and lilies of the valley. She was attended by her sister, Miss Jeannette Poirier, who wore a gown of Nile green silk georgette with yellow belt and a green coat, wuth matching hat and accessories. She carried yellow roses.The best man was Mr. Maurice Gauthier. The flower girl was Miss Alice Beausoleil, a niece of the bridegroom, who wore a pink dress and carried a colonial bouquet. Master Henry Descoteaux, mascot of Garde St. Louis, accompanied her.Immediately following the ceremony a breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents, 1275 Lakeview avenue. A reception for friends was held in the evening at the Centralville Social Club.After a tour, Mr. and Mrs. Tanguay will reside at 115 Aiken street.
