Licenses were to be procured late today for the marriage of Shannon Prather and Miss Margie Leach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Leach of Centralla. and Maple D. Thomas and Miss Anna May Prather, both of Columbia. Miss Prather and Shannon Prather are the daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Prather of 410 South Ninth street. Mr. Thomas, a teacher at Ontario Ore.. is a son of J. 8. Thomas of 700 Elm street The Leach-Prather wedding will take place this evening at the home of the bride, just south of Centralla. where Miss Leach has been teaching In a rural school. At 9 o'clock tomorrow morning the Prather-ThomaB marriage will be held at the Prather residence, 410 South Ninth street.Miss Prather worked in the Boone County National Bank for the last year . She Is a graduate of the Columbia High School, and took a course In vocal music at Stephens College. Mr. Thomas is a graduate of the University of Missouri. He has been professor In chemistry at the Ontario High School for the last three years. He owns a dairy ranch outside of the Oregon city.The couples have planned a honeymoon trip through the Weal, including Denver. Colorado Springs and Salt Lake City, after which MT. and Mrs. Prather will return to Columbia where they will make their home, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas will continue west to Ontario.Mr. Prather and Mr. Thomas served in the army and navy, respectively, in the recent war. Mr. Prather has been connected for some years with the local office of the American Rall-way Express Company.
